Bristol Solar PV Academy

While the students are on were on holiday, Ecocetera crept in to install this solar PV array at Westbury-on-Trym C of E Academy in Bristol. The School sits within a Conservation Area, so care had to be taken that the panels were not visible from the road. In addition, the flat roof needed a full structural survey to confirm its ability to support the array! The Van Der Valk ballasted mounting system meant the roof remained weather tight.

The 40 additional panels will generate over 15, 000kWh a year, saving the school thousands of pounds a year on electricity bills and any surplus energy will be sold back to the grid through the Smart Export Guarantee Scheme

The Academy has long been involved in pioneering environmental work, and we are privileged to have help them continue the journey.
