Smart Homes

Typically, any surplus electricity generated by Solar PV systems is fed back to the grid, but with a Smart Switch such as Solar iBoost  or Eddi any surplus electricity is used to heat water in your household water tank. This allows you to maximise the use of the free energy generated by your solar panels, cut the cost of heating your water, and reduce the use of your boiler.

A typical household generating a surplus of 2kW will take around 2.5 hours to warm a 100ltr tank from 20 degrees to 60 degrees with a Smart Switch fitted, giving a approximate saving of £1.50 per day.

We can install Smart Switches to homes with existing Solar PV systems and a hot water tank.
