Romag Solar Panels with Fronius Inverter
This GP Surgery in Westbury-onTrym was only built a few years ago, and is extremely energy efficient – even so, the electricity demand is high. As demand is greatest during daylight hours, a solar PV system made perfect sense.
This 10kW system used a combination of Romag panels and a Fronius IG Plus 120 inverter. It will generate over 8400 units of electricity a year, and a display in the reception area shows live data, as well as total generation to date and carbon savings.
The surgery very generously allows the monthly local produce market to use their electricity supply – so this possibly makes it the first solar powered farmers’ market in the UK! We plan to have a live remote display at the next market to show how efficient the system is.
