Micro-hydro
Energy from water flow – arguably the oldest and most reliable method of producing renewable energy – and one of the most efficient!
If you are lucky enough to have a flow of water flowing down a hill, over a waterfall or weir, then a turbine and generator can be used to convert the power of the water into electricity.
A feasibility study needs to be carried out by a micro-hydro specialist – the British Hydropower Association are a source of fantastic help and information – go to our links page for this and other interesting resources.
