About us
Ecocetera is a Bristol based renewable energy company, specialising in solar photovoltaic systems (the ones that convert the sun’s energy directly into electricity).
The solar panels we install are selected with performance, quality of build and ethical performance of the manufacturing company in mind. We have been operating for thirteen years, and were one of the very first solar PV companies to achieve MCS accreditation in 2009. We are proud to put our name to the systems we install, and so do not use products that we cannot be sure will last for the lifetime of the system (more than twenty-five years).
Our staff are fully trained, and being approved contractors with NICEIC means that we can sign off all the work we do with Building Control. The only thing we sub-contract is our scaffolding. You can read what our customers think of us here.
We are passionate about helping home owners reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and nuclear power, and believe that harnessing the power of the sun is a very sensible solution indeed.
We aim to simplify the whole process of having a system installed – it really is easier than you might think! We will hold your hand from initial survey to registering your system with your electricity company. We can also help with planning applications (although bear in mind that most installations on domestic properties don’t need permission).
To cap it all, in April 2010, the Feed in Tariffs commenced. This is the government system by which you get paid for the electricity you generate – whether you use it or not! The tariff will be reducing on March 3rd 2012 – but as panel prices have dropped, it means that you are still looking at a return on your initial investment of 7 – 10% – not bas in these days of rock-bottom interest rates.
All in all, it means that you are looking at an average return on your initial investment of 7.3% – not bad in these days of rock-bottom interest rates – plus the benefits of your own clean, very local power source.
Have a look through the rest of our site if you need more information – and if you would like us to come and see you to discuss things further, we offer a free no-obligation survey and quotation – contact us for more information.
